Our Team

Hi! My name is Rachael.

I’m an Expressive Arts Therapist.

Rachael is a qualified Art Therapist who is passionate about utilising the many forms of creative expression within the therapeutic space. Rachael’s experience providing child-centred art therapy sessions for children of all ages is coupled with her experience working within inpatient mental health and addiction services; as well as many years of experience working as an art teacher. Rachael strives to make a difference in children’s lives and works to create strong, positive relationships with the children and families she engages with therapeutically.

Rachael provides a variety of creative and expressive modalities depending on the client’s interests and presenting needs. Her practice is holistic and guided by the principles of positive psychology and trauma-informed therapy. She offers a calm, empathetic and approachable presence to support children in understanding and expressing their emotions and processing difficult experiences. Her approach focuses on the idea that sometimes words can be difficult to find to express ourselves, therefore utilising creativity we can say what we need to without the need for words.

Rachael loves to experiment with art making in her free time, especially painting!
