Our Team

Hi! My name is Rosalind.
I’m a Play Therapist, Parent Counsellor & Social Worker.

Rosalind is a qualified social worker and Play Therapist with years of experience working with children and families across a range of settings including parenting services and paediatric healthcare. She has worked with children and parents with support needs such as mental health, parenting support, relationship and attachment issues, grief and loss, adjusting to diagnoses and complex trauma.

Rosalind is passionate about infant mental health, child development and child-parent attachment relationships and has pursued further education in these areas. She is currently working part-time at the Royal Children’s Hospital with families with children experiencing complex medical conditions.

In Play Therapy, Rosalind offers warmth and empathy to support children to process difficult experiences, learn new ways of understanding and expressing their emotions, build confidence and self-worth, and strengthen the relationship between a caregiver and their child. Rosalind is also a trained Circle of Security and Tuning into Kids parenting group facilitator and incorporates these relationship-based parenting models into the humanistic counselling she offers parents.

Rosalind has a natural affinity towards children - as a parent herself, an aunty to six nieces and nephews, and one of eight siblings, she has grown up around and interacted with kids all her life. Rosalind’s professional background together with her own parenting journey has helped develop a deep empathy and understanding for parents and a recognition of the many challenges they face. Overcoming these challenges to promote security in the parent-child relationship, in a sensitive and respectful way that values diversity and recognises a need for individualised responses, is what drives Rosalind’s work with children and their caregivers.
